Annet Mahendru

Mahendru was the child of a Russian mother and a Hindu Indian father in Afghanistan. Mahendru is fluent in German Russian English, French Persian as well as Hindi. Annet Mahendru, born in India, to her Russian father and an Indian mother, is fluent in both languages. A choreographed performance at age 11 which aired on German TV, changed her into an Russian dancer who was a snow maiden. Her high school graduation was in New York and received a Bachelor of Arts in English at St. John's University. She took classes in acting with the HB Studios. She later moved on to pursue improvised comedy at the Groundlings School. Her parents were the mother of an Afghani Hindu-Indian and Russian father in Kabul in Afghanistan. At the age of 13 when her parents split up, she left Kabul Afghanistan, to East Meadow New York. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys star in FX's The Americans. Her role on FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is her most notable television appearance. Her other roles included recurring ones in The Following on Fox, The Following as well as the NBC show The Blacklist.
